First Adventure in the Snow

It was the first "warm" day in weeks and I was determined to get the kids outside. With a little help from Nanny and Grandad, I suited up the kids and headed out into the snow. After getting them and myself dressed to go out, I was already exhausted and sweaty! Gabriella was getting cranky before we even made it out, but I thought, "we made it this far, I'm going all the way!" So out we went. I sat them down in the sled and started to pull them around the yard. Each time I went over a bump, they would tumble right out of the sled. Gabriella was so tired and the sun was so bright that she wouldn't even look up and started crying. Brayden didn't quite know what to make of it. I brought Gabriella inside and put her down for a nap and that is why I only have pictures of Brayden.
"That sledding thing is okay, but I think I'm an indoor kind of guy right now!"

I can't help but wonder what goes on in the mind of a child when they first encounter the texture and coldness of snow. I love the expressions on Brayden's face...precious!!! I bet next year they'll be making their very own snowmen!
Love you,
Granny
